Since our founding in 1887 as Kitagawa Wire Mesh Factory, we have consistently specialized in the manufacture and sale of wire mesh. Throughout our history, we have achieved various innovations to meet our customers' diverse needs. In our welded wire mesh division, now our core product line, we pioneered the industry by independently developing multi-pole electric resistance welding machines. Furthermore, by establishing an integrated production system—covering wire rod, wire drawing, straightening, welding, and finished mesh—we ensure stable supply and high quality.

In the hoop reinforcement division, our proprietary production management system enables us to build a stable and flexible production and supply system that responds to customer demands.

In 2015, we established SMC TOAMI LLC in the Socialist Republic of Vietnam as our first overseas production base. This marked the first step toward capturing the country's robust construction demand and establishing the TOAMI brand in Asia.

Then in 2021, our group shifted course toward an aggressive growth strategy, and as one means to achieve this, we began working to expand our civil engineering and construction segment.
In the same year, we welcomed Watanabe Construction Co., Ltd. into the group, followed by Nakajo Construction Co., Ltd. in 2024. This enabled us to actively initiate integrated proposal-based sales encompassing not only the manufacture and sale of civil engineering and construction materials but also their installation.

Furthermore, by directly hearing requests from civil engineering and construction sites, we are committed to developing new products and providing new services.

Through these pioneering, innovative initiatives and our uniquely cultivated production and construction technologies, our group significantly contributes to our customers' businesses. We will continue striving to develop new products and enhance quality, maintaining our path of innovation to further elevate our customers' business value.
